Going to have an Easter egg hunt for my 8 y.o. son, Liam. We’re going to church and will be spending time with family. What about you?

This is my story of dealing with depression. I hope this helps someone.
Elizabeth, I am doing well! Thank you- how’re YOU?
Elizabeth, you have a positive attitude! Thank you! It’s contagious.
I try to reframe the anxiety and see it as normal in the human experience. It is difficult yet it does not last forever. I don’t have to like something to be able to tolerate it and I try and focus on something I’m grateful for.
Saleana- that sounds really difficult and painful *hugs*
Hannah- journaling seems like an excellent way to work through things!
I’m looking forward to starting the last class to get a degree!
Elizabeth, that is a beautiful conclusion to come through while going through a difficult situation. It is encouraging to know that quite a few people in the bible also struggled with depression. Thanks for sharing!
When you think of a butterfly, safe in his cocoon, it takes struggle for the butterfly to emerge. Change is difficult and not an easy thing, yet remaining in the same place can sometimes be worse. Allow some healthy pain as an overhead to something better in the long run.
Great gratitude, Saleana! Both of those that you mentioned are helpful in the journey towards health and healing. Thanks for sharing!
It helps to be mindful of what one is saying to him or herself when faced with a social situation. What do you tell yourself when you are in a situation with a lot of people? What could you say instead? I have struggled with social anxiety for a good portion of my life and have learned ways to manage it with the help of a doctor, therapists, and a positive mental health community, and by learning Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Don’t give up! It gets better!

Allison and Ashley, thank you for being willing to share what depression has been like for you. Here is a link to my story with depression.
I hope this helps someone. You’re not alone.
Saleana and Amy, thank you for being vulnerable and sharing your feelings and personal experiences with depression. It is a difficult thing to deal with and I have had my own personal struggles with depression in the past. It gets better and know that you’re doing better than you think you are! You’re not alone.
