      In general, when I’m feeling really anxious or find myself worrying too much, I’ll try to do some sort of exercise and it usually improves, or I’ll do some deep breathing. Depending on the topic of worry, I’ll try to put it all in perspective, like ‘this could always be worse’ and it’s not so bad. For example, I’ll worry because my son isnt doing well in school but I’ll think there are kids in much more difficult situations, who have much worse health or mental conditions.

          I do stretches before a call and deep breaths.  I also say things to myself like ‘you got this’. I keep positive affirmations on the wall in front of me and also stickers on the computer. It really helps me! I still get anxiety but it’s less so. Hope this helps a bit.

            I think we need to be kind to ourselves. It’s hard living through a pandemic in the worst job market. There’s only so much we can do.  I’m not sure this will help, but I feel really productive when I learn something new. There are a lot of free workshops out there I’ve attended and free online tutorials. It depends on your field of course.
