Do you ever feel disappointed in yourself for not gaining more work experience due to limitations caused by COVID? I personally feel like I am not doing enough to get myself ahead, even though the opportunities right now are extremely limited.

I’ve been applying and applying for remote work and keep getting rejected so I totally get it. I would encourage you to look for volunteer opportunities if that is an option for you. That would help you gain experience even though it won’t help financially. I really hope you’re doing well. We will get through this.

I think we need to be kind to ourselves. It’s hard living through a pandemic in the worst job market. There’s only so much we can do.  I’m not sure this will help, but I feel really productive when I learn something new. There are a lot of free workshops out there I’ve attended and free online tutorials. It depends on your field of course.
