I really like the title to this post because thats what is boils down for me is to have confidence that your hard work will pay off. Ive learned in life that not a lot of things come easy for me. I must work very hard to get anything. Just about the time Iam feeling like giving up, it turns out it works out. After many experiences of this, I realized this is just how it is for me. Ive come to except it. It used to bother me when seeing friends or other get things so easily. Jobs, love, and life for some people seem to just get it so easily. Once I accepted that is not in the cards for me, I just kept going. Gave myself the courage to go on by telling myself “never give up” and then it works out.

Iam a person who needs to talk it out. Sometimes I get really low and funky for a few days. But then I get sick of being depressed and my most effective strategy is talking to someone; a friend or therapist. I can bounce out of it by doing something I enjoy like hiking or baking. Retail therapy can be helpful. I like to thrift shop. I made a jar with little pieces of paper that i wrote all the things I like doing and I pull one to help me get motivated. Motivation really is the preventing factor for me often.

I found that writing things down helps me. My mom always write things down and she checks things off. I think Ive turned into my mom or maybe she taught me how to manage my overwhelming feelings, which is a good thing.
