Im so glad you have inquired about this. There doesnt seem to be many people on the forums to keep an interest. I have posted many months ago  off and on. I check back once a month to see if theres anything new. Most of time there isnt. My assumption is that not a lot of people know about it. I do know allyu is new. I love the set up and functions though. Especially the self help library.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I know it can be difficult with depression. I have mild depression all the time. Its hard to have emotions, even if its happiness because I just dont feel anything. Numbness is a good word for it. I think of it as my “Meh” emotion. Wish I knew how to put a Meh emoji here.

Hi, Ive been to both Capri and Rome several time and they are one of my most favorite spots in the world. I cant get enough of Italy. I have yet to be be on the western side of the country or Sicily. My hope it to get there. I believe flights will have to be state side for the next year. But I so do miss traveling to other parts of the world.

I love thrift store and estate shopping. If Iam looking for something specific, I even try the offer up app. My “JOY” in life is to find that amazing item for super cheap. Its all about the hunt for me.

My therapist told me about the circle of control. Draw a large circle on a piece of paper and a smaller circle inside the large one. Whatever you are worried about define it above the circles. In the large circle are things that are out of your control and the small circle is what is in your control. Example, worried about finding a job. In your control would be things like, resume, searching for a job, networking, etc. Things out of your control, are other peoples play into getting a job, like being called for an interview, or returning an email, or actual hire. The things that are within you control you can worry about (of course, not for long) but the things that are not in your control is off limits to worry about because it serves you no good. When you realize you are stressing about things that are not in your control, you must do everything in your power to redirect your thoughts. I have found this to be very helpful. I hope it helps you

I love watching movies with my kids. Favorites are Inside Out and Coco. Animated but really good to watch as an adult.

Ive been a similar situation. I found myself trying to stick up for other co-workers, but they themselves wouldnt say anything directly. It was always complaints behind the bosses back. I pulled away from my coworkers that just complained to me and did some breathing exercises to help release the tension that would build within me. It didnt fix the boss but it did help me to be more relaxed.

Ive had more anxiety lately. I checked out the self help library on this site and was surprised on how great some of the videos and website recommendations it has. Check it out if you haven’t it defiantly worth a look. I liked it enough to volunteer to find more resource to add. It actually helped me focus on something else besides being in my head so much.

I understand what you are feeling. We are in a similar situation. What we decided to do is bake cookies and on Christmas eve we will deliver them to our friends and family. Socially distancing outside we will give them presents and cookies just for a little bit. We are actually looking forward to taking the trip to each families house to make the delivery. Maybe you can do something similar. If you dont have family or friends in the area, maybe try some shelters you can deliver some food or drop of items they may need. For me, nothing warms my heart more than by giving and puts me in the holiday spirit. Make a fun day cooking or baking with holiday music. During this time, we have to create our own happiness Ive learned, otherwise the sadness creeps in too much.
