Bay Area Consultants Inc. provides substance abuse services to the Bay and Saginaw counties as well as surrounding areas. Services provided include substance abuse counseling, relapse prevention and education, an anger management training program, alcohol and drug testing, a peer mentoring, and many other services that may be ordered by a court or for self-referred individuals.

Avalon's supportive housing combines affordable housing with support services to help people achieve housing stability and lead healthier, productive lives. Supportive housing is geared toward people who have been chronically homeless and have behavioral and physical health challenges, including mental illness and substance use disorders. Residents have access to many individualized services including case management, advocacy, primary medical care, and after school/summer programs for youth.

Attorneys Giving Legal Advice (AGILA) is free legal clinic affiliated with Chicago Volunteer Legal Services (CVLS) and sponsored by the Filipino American Lawyers Association and Madrid Crost Law Group. It meets the third Saturday of the month from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Call for appointments and walk-ins are also welcome. CVLS is comprised of over 2,500 volunteer attorneys who donate free services to thousands of low-income Chicagoans annually. Services are 100% free and accessible. CVLS brings together resources in Chicago by utilizing its small staff to support and train a pool of thousands of volunteer attorneys from more than 990 firms, companies, and organizations throughout the city. For over 50 years, CVLS has built a strong relationship with Chicago’s court system and judges. Judges in Probate, Chancery and Domestic Relations appoint CVLS to represent parties in complex litigation and to serve as guardian ad litem for children or disabled adults.
