Common Ground is a 24-hour crisis services agency dedicated to helping youths, adults, and families in crisis. Some of Common Ground's services include a crisis helpline/text/chat, legal clinics, crisis intervention services, safe shelters, residential treatment programs, counseling, and specialized support groups for parents, victims of crime, and those who have lost someone to suicide or homicide.

The mission of the Coleman A. Young (CAYF) is to develop leadership among youth through college scholarships, mentoring and other supports for personal growth and development. CAYF's main program is the Scholars program, which provides support and guidance to young scholars in addition to scholarships. CAYF's Skillman Foundation Legacy Scholars program also provides scholarships to promising Detroit youth who are recognized as emerging leaders and contributors making a difference in their community. CAYF's REAL Skills 2.0 (RS2) Program offers a curriculum led by CAYF staff, scholars, alumni and other professional volunteers who help Detroit area youth and their parents/caregivers plan productive post-secondary lives.
