The Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries (DRMM) provides food, shelter, and services to intervene where homelessness and substance addiction occur. DRMM offers a wide variety of programs to help meet basic needs, including providing emergency shelters where residents can receive food, clothing, and an opportunity to shower; substance abuse services including sub-acute substance abuse detoxification; other community services such as veterans services, prisoner reentry services, senior and youth services; as well as employment training and education.

There are few legal PR actioners who specialize in this area, and consequently, many Veterans receive little help in filing the myriad forms required to receive non-service related pension benefits.
