The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Ann Arbor (RMHCAA) is a non-profit organization that aims to alleviate the emotional and financial stresses for families of seriously ill/hospitalized children by providing a home away from home. The RMHCAA operates two Houses that can accomodate up to 43 families near/in C.S. Mott Children's Hospital, with many ammenities including bedrooms with private bathrooms, several shared living areas, playrooms/playgrounds for children, stocked kitchens, dinners provided by community volunteers, toiletries and laundry services, and transportation including shuttles and bikes. Families must be referred by a child's hospital social worker to be considered for accomodation.

Avalon Housing works to build safe, healthy, and inclusive supportive housing communities to combat homelessness in Washtenaw County. Avalon's supportive housing combines affordable housing with support services to help people achieve housing stability and lead healthier, productive lives. Supportive housing is geared toward people who have been chronically homeless and have behavioral and physical health challenges, including mental illness and substance use disorders. Residents have access to many individualized services including case management, advocacy, primary medical care, and after school/summer programs for youth.

North Star Reach is a therapeutic residential camp for children with serious health challenges in the Great Lakes region. Kids are treated to a full camping experience with plenty of activities and opportunities to make new friends, all in a safe, medically supervised environment. The camp is free to attend for qualified children, who include those with organ transplants, congenital heart conditions, epilepsy, sickle cell disease, and blood-related disorders.
