Darkim Responsible Living For Women Inc. Nfp is a transitional shelter for women, which aids wrap around services while providing temporary housing for women. Its mission is to offer outreach programs and temporary housing for women, providing women with a safe environment featuring all necessities that a home has to offer.

The Old Newsboys’ Goodfellow Fund of Detroit was founded in 1914 by James J. Brady. Each holiday season, the Goodfellows distribute gift boxes to kids ages 4–13 living in Detroit, Highland Park, River Rouge, Hamtramck, Harper Woods and Ecorse. Children throughout the area can also access a dental program, camperships, a scholarship program, and a shoe program.

Detroit Socks is a nonprofit dedicated to providing new socks to those in need. Detroit Socks collects bottles and cans from neighbors on a monthly basis to raise money to purchase new socks for distribution to soup kitchens, homeless shelters, clothing banks, and churches.
