Detroit Socks is a nonprofit dedicated to providing new socks to those in need. Detroit Socks collects bottles and cans from neighbors on a monthly basis to raise money to purchase new socks for distribution to soup kitchens, homeless shelters, clothing banks, and churches.

The ShareHouse is a non-profit thrift store that sells new and gently used donated items, with proceeds going to local agencies and individual items going to those most in need free of charge. Other local non-profits also use the ShareHouse's facility for job skills training for handicapped individuals.
