The Community Action Network (CAN) works with children, youth, and families from under-resourced Washtenaw County neighborhoods to help them create better futures for themselves and improve their communities. CAN operates six community centers that offer a variety of services, including after-school programs, art programs for children, summer camps, emergency food assistance and food pantries for families, utility shutoff and eviction prevention services, and much more.

Gift of Giving works to help children in the Avondale School District reach their full potential through three key programs: the Gift of Giving program provides school supplies, clothes, and food to students in need; Reach Your Summit provides entrepreneurial business opportunities for Avondale High School students; and the Enrichment program focuses on supporting Avondale's elementary schools in their science curriculums through grants.

The Congregational Kitchen (of the First Congregational Church of Allegan) provides free take-out and dine-in meals for the hungry every Thursday night. The Kitchen also runs a Backpack Meal program that provides backpacks filled with food to the Allegan public school system for low-income and needy students who need enough food over the weekends until they are able to return to school on Mondays.

The Kids First Initative is a youth organization aimed at engaging young people and providing them with the resources they need to be successful individuals. Programs include a STEAM World (STEM subjects plus art!) summer camp, the Power of a Necktie workshop to teach young men how to dress to impress in the workplace, the Career Pathways Expo to expose students to potential career pathways and connect them with future employers, and the Holiday Meals Experience, which provides meals for children who come from food insecure homes across the country.

Crossroads Care Center is a non-profit Christian organization dedicated to assisting abortion-vulnerable women and men involved in crisis pregnancies choose life for their unborn children. Services offered include pregnancy testing, STD testing and treatment, limited ultrasounds, counseling, educational classes, adoption referrals, and medical referrals.

Greater Oakland Mothers of Multiples (goMOMS) is a branch of Multiples of America that provides parents of multiples (twins, triplets, etc.) support and educational resources on raising and caring for their unique children. goMOMS hosts monthly meetings as part of its membership benefits; some meetings consist of fun activities for the families of multiples, playdates, and even clothing/equipment sales geared towards multiples.
