Along with resume building on Mondays, The Hope Center brings in someone to give people fresh haircuts on Wednesdays. On Fridays, local company Hammocks for Hope trains people how to make hammocks that will then be sold, teaching those who visit the center job skills they can use as well as paying them a living wage. The Hope Center has grown rapidly since it began occupying the basement of the church. According to Evans, it went from getting just a handful of people during this past spring to feeding 40 to 60 people on a regular basis. Because of this, the center, which prides itself in not taking government money, is looking for donations to continue its work.

"At the Interactive Resource Center, we invite people experiencing — or at risk for — homelessness to be part of a supportive community free of barriers. Working alongside our guests, we provide services that help our Guilford County neighbors reconnect with their own lives and with the community at large. The Interactive Resource Center promotes dignity, respect, connection and empowerment in an environment where trust and relationships matter. We’re engaging those we serve in building their own progress toward a life without homelessness."

Jehovah Jireh Christian Church, under the leadership of Bishop Betty T. Johnson, was founded in the Fall of 2002. The aims of the Jehovah Jireh ministry are to provide excellent community outreach in every way possible. This includes but has never been limited to providing refuge for those in need physically, emotionally and spiritually, collectively. As believers of Christ, we know that all things work together for those who love God and he provides all that we need, which inspired the name of our place of worship. Our church operates both an Outreach Center, which is in a longstanding partnership with the Second Harvest Foodbank of Southeastern North Carolina , and a thrift store, Second Chance, which is located on the eastern side of Fayetteville. Thank you for visiting and remember, He is Jehovah Jireh!
