Jehovah Jireh Christian Church, under the leadership of Bishop Betty T. Johnson, was founded in the Fall of 2002. The aims of the Jehovah Jireh ministry are to provide excellent community outreach in every way possible. This includes but has never been limited to providing refuge for those in need physically, emotionally and spiritually, collectively. As believers of Christ, we know that all things work together for those who love God and he provides all that we need, which inspired the name of our place of worship. Our church operates both an Outreach Center, which is in a longstanding partnership with the Second Harvest Foodbank of Southeastern North Carolina , and a thrift store, Second Chance, which is located on the eastern side of Fayetteville. Educational courses offered include workshops on family structure, staying clean and sober, bible studies, and other spiritual guidance. Inmates' physical needs are met through short-term housing placement, transportation options, holiday meals, clothing packages, and a traveling library.
