The Guardianship Project serves as court-appointed agency guardians to a vulnerable, mostly indigent population--elderly and disabled individuals who lack family or other supports that enable them to live as independently as possible.

The Bay City Housing Commission's (BCHC) mission is to enhance the quality of life in the community through the provision and improvement of decent, safe, affordable housing programs that meet the needs of citizens. The BCHC maintains several properties for residents, including apartments available for seniors, disabled, and/or handicapped persons. All properties have health clinics scheduled with the Bay County Health Department, a food commodity program, and easy accessibility to meal/activity programs provided by other local agencies as well as transportation services.

Meals on Wheels of Southwest Michigan provides meals for active seniors (i.e., able to drive or use public transportation) at senior centers and other community sites in addition to home-delivered meals.
