Washtenaw Association for Community Advocacy (WACA) advocates for and provides education for people with disabilities and their families. Services provided include a sliding scale fee for service program to help parents secure Individualized Education Plans for their children, transitional services for disabled youth reaching adulthood, and a family support subsidy to help pay for special expenses the family has while caring for severely disabled children.

Avalon Housing works to build safe, healthy, and inclusive supportive housing communities to combat homelessness in Washtenaw County. Avalon's supportive housing combines affordable housing with support services to help people achieve housing stability and lead healthier, productive lives. Supportive housing is geared toward people who have been chronically homeless and have behavioral and physical health challenges, including mental illness and substance use disorders. Residents have access to many individualized services including case management, advocacy, primary medical care, and after school/summer programs for youth.

The Interfaith Hospitality Network at Alpha House (IHN) offers shelter, housing, and related services for families experiencing homelessness. The Alpha House shelter can support six families at a time (each with their own case managers), while the Rapid Re-Housing program is an intervention that connects families to resources for permanent housing. Additional assistance is offered to families through home-based support and children's services.

The Family Learning Institute (FLI) is a volunteer-based non-profit agency dedicated to closing the achievement gap in Washtenaw County. Free reading and math tutoring is provided to students in grades 2-6 who are from low-income families and are struggling in school. Two of FLI's programs include its core literacy program that focuses on reading, speaking, comprehension, and classroom participation skills while offering homework help and its summer outreach program.

Some services include but aren't limited to arts and recreational events, career and business mentoring, community advocacy, peer support groups, living services such as life skill workshops and finding care assistance, disability awareness and sensitivity training, and general mentorship programs.
