The Michigan Itinerant Shelter System Interdependent Out of Necessity (M.I.S.S.I.O.N.) is an organization providing a comphrensive suite of services that address the different needs of different homeless communities. M.I.S.S.I.O.N. partners with community organizations to help provide services and solutions for the homeless, including but not limited to showers, laundry services, clothing, food, a warming center, providing tents/tarps/sleeping bags, and an emergency family housing fund program.

Mary Lou's Place, formerly known as the Evanston Shelter for Battered Women and Their Children, is a shelter for female, male or transgender survivors of domestic violence and their children. Families are provided with a private room, clothing, linens, and personal care items. Services include daily individual and group counseling sessions, parent/child workshops, and specialized workshops such as health education, job readiness, and financial literacy.
