The purpose of the Mecosta County Commission on Aging (COA) is to improve the quality of life of the county’s 60+ population. The agency’s goal is to support seniors in their efforts to remain in their own homes, maintaining independence, health, dignity, and self-respect. The COA’s services include the Activity Center for recreational/educational/leisure activites, in-home support services including respite care, meals on wheels and congregate meal sites, an equipment loan closet, a senior home maintenance program, medical transportation services, and Medicare/Medicaid assistance.
