Wayne Metro provides over 60 programs in the areas of Quality Housing, Family Stability and Economic Opportunities. Their services include financial capability education, homeownership workshops, housing counseling, financial counseling, utility assistance, Head Start, GED preparation, free tax preparation, foreclosure prevention and homeless services.

The Detroit Justice Center (DJC) is a non-profit law firm working alongside communities to create economic opportunities, transform the justice system, and promote equitable and just cities. In addition to outreach and advocacy, DJC offers the services of community legal workers who can perform legal research and investigation into the tax assessment appeal process and water shut off process, conduct client interviews, help community members complete forms, accompany clients to hearings and department meetings, and educate the community about their rights.
Life Remodeled exists to bridge people across divides to help transform each other’s lives – investing approximately $5 million in cash, labor and materials into one Detroit neighborhood each year, with projects determined by the community's needs and vision. In addition to working in neighborhoods, Life Remodeled also offers a home repair program to eligible homeowners, providing new windows, a new furnance, or a new roof as needed.

Our mission is to assist individuals and families with immediate, short-term needs such as food, rent, utilities, and other specialized services, which if not met, would threaten an individual’s or family’s stability. By providing these services Helping Hand seeks to prevent those in need of basic services from falling into homelessness.
