Esperanza Legal Assistance Center provides legal assistance to low-income, immigrant and Spanish-speaking residents of the Quad Cities who are seeking assistance with issues relating to immigration, such as family-based sponsorship petitions, naturalization, document renewals, adjustment of status/consular processing (green card), DACA, TPS, and Non-immigrant/Humanitarian Visas. The Moran Center for Youth Advocacy provides integrated legal and social work services to address the critical needs of youth and their families. The Moran Center’s services are free to qualifying individuals. Its Expungement & Sealing Help Desk at the Skokie Courthouse serves any individual with a Cook County criminal record, regardless of age or income. For all other programs, participants must (1) reside within Evanston Township; (2) be 26 or younger or a parent of a school-aged child; (3) live at or below 80% of poverty as determined by HUD.

The DePaul University College of Law - Asylum and Immigration Clinics focus on asylum and immigration law training and representation and through their Legal Resources Project collaborate with 30 community-based organizations in Illinois to increase access to reliable legal information and services for low-income immigrants and refugees. Additionally, these clinics collaborate with and receive support and assistance from immigration practitioners, many of whom are clinic alumni, leaders in the field and who contribute to advancement of refugee and immigrant issues across the country.
