NCD consists of a decrease in cognitive function (e.g., paying attention, executive functioning, learning, memory, language, coordination and other motor skills) that interferes with everyday activities and should be observable by self and others, and confirmed by medical testing. To be considered an NCD, the cognitive decline should not be a result or symptom of another mental disorder or illness.
