Alcohol Dependence—alcohol dependence, or alcoholism, is characterized by atypically heavy/frequent drinking, often to the point that it interferes with daily life activities and relationships. Individuals who struggle to feel “normal” or to enjoy themselves without the aid of alcohol, or who experience withdrawal symptoms in the absence of alcohol consumption are very likely in a stage of Alcohol Dependence.
