Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) is an organization serving the needs of Vietnam veterans and advocating for the issues important to this generation of veterans. VVA provides claims assistance, financial readiness education, and outreach programs covering a broad range of topics from Agent Orange exposure, homelessness in the veteran community, accounting for POWs/MIAs, to addressing the needs of ethnic minority veterans. The Veterans Support Center of VVA #154 provides a fullly-integrated facility that offers services such as an emergency food pantry, honor guard services, a Veteran's Treatment Court that assigns a mentor to veterans caught in the court systems, and more.

The Veterans’ Legal Aid Society was founded to fill a critical need to assist Veterans who are Illinois residents and their families in seeking aid and attendance benefits, as well as provide income-based legal aid services to Veterans of limited means. There are few legal PR actioners who specialize in this area, and consequently, many Veterans receive little help in filing the myriad forms required to receive non-service related pension benefits. The Veterans’ Legal Aid Society firmly believes that it must do everything to ensure that they receive the care, dignity, and benefits that they have so rightfully earned.
