The Novi Oaks Charter Chapter is a business league in The American Business Women's Association--ABWA is a premier women's organization that provides business-relevant speakers, seminars, and hands-on leadership opportunities. Members gain skills in face-to-face communication, collaboration, and relationship-building, which are particularly important skills for younger workers. Although it is not guaranteed, many members make connections that lead to future business.

The Arc of Calhoun County provides advocacy through education, employment, and volunteerism for person with intellectual or developmental disabilities. The Volunteer Program provides intellectually and developmentally disabled adults with the opportunity to develop adaptive skills in a community setting alongside volunteers/employees without disabilities; the Educational Advocacy Program assists families in meeting children's educational needs through special education; and the Professional Advocacy program provides information and guidance as well as profesional/workplace training to help organizations better serve people with disabilities.
