The Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program is funded by the United States Department of Veteran Affairs and is administered through Heartland Human Care Services to provide supportive services for low or very low-income veteran families residing in or transitioning to permanent housing. The services are designed to increase the housing stability of veterans and veteran families that are at-risk of or experiencing homelessness.

Sylvia's Place is a domestic violence safe house that offers shelter and services free of charge to survivors of abuse and their children. Tabitha House is a 16 bed recovery home for chemically dependent women who are in the recovery process. Women in this residential program receive individual and group counselling and intensive case management services to develop and implement strategies to meet the objectives of independent and drug-free living. Since 2004, Teen HYPE (Helping Youth by Providing Education) has reached more than 35,000 Detroit-area youth through programming that assures every young person reaches their potential. Each year, hundreds of students in dozens of local schools are provided with adolescent health programs that emphasize future-oriented thinking, effective communication and avoiding risky behaviors. Additionally, more than 600 teens have been trained as Peer Educators who are dedicated to community service, social justice, and risk avoidance. Some of Teen HYPE's current programming includes its peer education program, annual theatrical productions, risk avoidance/sexual education/substance abuse prevention programs, and free confidential HIV/STI testing and counseling services for 13-29 year olds in the community.

Teens in Transition is a temporary semi-supervised shelter for youth aged 17 to 24. Teens in Transition's mission is to transition youth successfully into adulthood by providing life skills training, GED assistance, college readiness services, career planning services, and more.
