Living in the “new norm” is hard enough, right? And to have on top of that, a new diagnosis of PTSD can be a lot to navigate. While it is helpful to have clarity around symptoms that have been present for years, there is also an unfamiliar fear that bodes the question of what to do next.
What have you done to start managing these symptoms and work toward acceptance of having PTSD? Or what would you like to start doing?

PTSD is common among individuals who have witnesses or experiences something traumatic such as physical/emotional/sexual assault, war/combat, a natural disaster, or a traumatic accident or loss. Mood swings, flashbacks, nightmares, and intense or disturbing thoughts and feelings, “jumpiness…” all of these can be signs of PTSD.
