Allie Booth, M.A.
“Life is going to have times of joy and times of sadness. When life gets to be too overwhelming or too painful, often what’s needed is an ally to help bring back the joy in life. I am a solution-focused counselor that offers evidence based and complimentary techniques to assist you in navigating through the emotions from the ups and downs of life. ”
“Often when we try to help ourselves, we don’t get too far and then feel worse. I can help you to gain the necessary motivation and skills to achieve the goals you desire. Together, we will understand your thoughts, patterns and behaviors that are unhealthy and not serving you well. I offer you judgment-free and personalized support toward a journey of successfully managed mental health and happiness.”
“We can explore issues with relationships, self, work or school, as well as issues such as grief or loss, illness, immigration or relocation, trauma or any other life changes or challenges. When you are ready to move beyond what you are currently experiencing, I encourage you to reach out. You have the power to cultivate who you want to be. You can feel good!”
"As a compassionate ally, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals and discover your full potential.”
Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and Certified in Mindfulness Interventions
After earning a bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science at DePaul University in Chicago, she furthered her learning with a master’s in Counseling Psychology. Her educational background led to years of working and volunteering at hospitals, community centers, both non-profit and for-profit, both stateside and abroad in underdeveloped countries.
Allie’s experiences have only fueled her belief that everyone, in all parts of the world, from all religious backgrounds and cultures, needs positive support from professionals and a community of peers. Access to health and wellbeing resources, paired with the opportunity to help others, creates a climate for growth, change, and wellness for ourselves and those around us.
In addition to working with clients, Allie created AllyU Organization NFP, a nonprofit organization/labor of love, out of a passion for mental health. AllyU is a positive peer to peer community that offers education, access to the resources that people need and volunteer opportunities.
